حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، سَمِعَ عَطَاءً، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ إِهْلاَلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ حِينَ اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ. رَوَاهُ أَنَسٌ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رضى الله عنهم.
Translation
Ibrahim related to us: al-Walid informed us: al-Awzaʿi related to us. He heard ʿAtaʾ relating from Jabir ibn ʿAbd Allah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began the talbiya at Dhu al-Hulayfa when his mount had stood upright. Anas and Ibn ʿAbbas (may Allah be pleased with them) also related it.’
