حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ، أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ نَحَرْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرَسًا فَأَكَلْنَاهُ . تَابَعَهُ وَكِيعٌ وَابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ فِي النَّحْرِ.

Qutaybah narrated to us: Jarīr narrated to us, from Hishām, from Fāṭimah daughter of al-Mundhir, that Asmāʾ daughter of Abū Bakr said: “During the lifetime of the Messenger of God ﷺ, we slaughtered a horse and ate it.” Wakīʿ and Ibn ʿUyaynah corroborated Hishām’s report in using the word “slaughtered.”
