Sahih al-Bukhari
Sahih al-Bukhari 2421
Abd Allah ibn Muhammad narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Urwa, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): Abd ibn Zam'a and Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas brought their dispute over the son of Zam'a’s enslaved woman before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sa'd said, ‘Messenger of Allah, my brother instructed me, when I arrived, to look for the son of Zam'a’s enslaved woman and take him into my custody, for he is my brother’s son.’ Abd ibn Zam'a said, ‘He is my brother and the son of my father’s enslaved woman; he was born in my father’s bed.’ The Prophet saw a clear resemblance and said, ‘He is yours, Abd ibn Zam'a. The child belongs to the marital bed. And you, Sawda, observe a veil from him.’
