Sahih al-Bukhari 67

Musaddad narrated to us, saying: Bishr narrated to us, saying: Ibn 'Awn narrated to us, from Ibn Sirin, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah, from his father, who mentioned that the Prophet (ﷺ) mounted his camel, while a man held its halter—or its reins. He said: ‘What day is this?’ We remained silent until we thought he would give it a name other than its own. He said: ‘Is it not the Day of Sacrifice?’ We said: ‘Indeed.’ He said: ‘What month is this?’ We remained silent until we thought he would call it by a name other than its own. He said: ‘Is it not Dhu al-Hijjah?’ We said: ‘Indeed.’ He said: ‘Your blood, your property, and your honor are sacred to one another, as sacred as this day of yours, this month of yours, and this land of yours. Let those present convey this to those absent, for perhaps the one who is present will convey it to someone who understands it better than he does.’
