Sahih al-Bukhari 59

Muhammad ibn Sinan narrated to us. He said: Fulayh narrated to us. And Ibrahim ibn al-Mundhir narrated to me. He said: Muhammad ibn Fulayh narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to me. He said: Hilal ibn Ali narrated to me, from Ata ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayra, who said: While the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a gathering, speaking to the people, a Bedouin came to him and said: ‘When is the Hour?’ The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) continued speaking. Some people said: ‘He heard what he said and disliked it.’ Others said: ‘Rather, he did not hear him.’ When he finished speaking, he said: ‘Where is—I think he said—the questioner about the Hour?’ The man said: ‘Here I am, Messenger of Allah.’ He said: ‘When trust is squandered, expect the Hour.’ The man asked: ‘How is it squandered?’ He said: ‘When a matter is entrusted to someone unfit for it, expect the Hour.’
