Sahih al-Bukhari 60
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، عَارِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ تَخَلَّفَ عَنَّا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفْرَةٍ سَافَرْنَاهَا، فَأَدْرَكَنَا وَقَدْ أَرْهَقَتْنَا الصَّلاَةُ وَنَحْنُ نَتَوَضَّأُ، فَجَعَلْنَا نَمْسَحُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِنَا، فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ " وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ ". مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا.
Abu al-Nu'man, Arim ibn al-Fadl, narrated to us. He said: Abu Awana narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Yusuf ibn Mahak, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell behind us on a journey we had taken. He caught up with us when prayer had come due and we were performing ablution, wiping over our feet. He called out at the top of his voice: ‘Woe to the heels from the Fire!’—twice or three times.
