Translation
Narrated Abu Huraira

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Seven (people) will be shaded by Allah by His Shade on the Day of Resurrection when there will be no shade except His Shade. (They will be), a just ruler, a young man who has been brought up in the worship of Allah, a man who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears, a man whose heart is attached to mosques (offers his compulsory congregational prayers in the mosque), two men who love each other for Allah's Sake, a man who is called by a charming lady of noble birth to commit illegal sexual intercourse with her, and he says, 'I am afraid of Allah,' and (finally), a man who gives in charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given."

Hadith of the Seven Shaded by Allah's Mercy

Sahih al-Bukhari 6806 - This profound hadith enumerates seven categories of believers who will receive Allah's special protection and shade on the Day of Judgment, when all other shade will vanish.

The Just Ruler

A ruler who governs with divine justice, upholding Allah's limits and punishments (Hudood) without favoritism or oppression. His justice extends to all subjects regardless of status.

The Devout Youth

A young person raised in obedience to Allah despite living in an age of temptation. This indicates the merit of early piety and protection from youthful desires.

The Tearful Rememberer

One who remembers Allah in solitude until tears flow from fear and love. This demonstrates the highest level of khushu' (heartfelt devotion) and spiritual connection.

The Mosque-Devoted Heart

A person whose heart is spiritually attached to mosques, eagerly awaiting prayer times. This reflects complete submission and love for Allah's houses of worship.

Brotherhood for Allah's Sake

Two individuals whose friendship is purely for Allah's pleasure, meeting and parting for His sake. This represents the pinnacle of sincere Islamic brotherhood.

The Chaste Resister

One who rejects illicit sexual advances despite strong temptation, declaring "I fear Allah." This exemplifies perfect taqwa (God-consciousness) in preserving Hudood boundaries.

The Secret Giver

A person who conceals charity so completely that even their left hand remains unaware. This represents the ultimate in sincerity (ikhlas) and protection from riya' (showing off).
