ʿAbd Allah ibn Yusuf related to us: Malik informed us, from Ibn Shihab, from Saʿid ibn al-Musayyab and from Abu Salama ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman, from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘An animal’s injury is without liability; a well’s injury is without liability; a mine’s injury is without liability; and one fifth is due on buried treasure.’
