Sahih al-Bukhari 5647
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مَرَضِهِ وَهْوَ يُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا، وَقُلْتُ إِنَّكَ لَتُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا. قُلْتُ إِنَّ ذَاكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ أَجْرَيْنِ. قَالَ " أَجَلْ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصِيبُهُ أَذًى، إِلاَّ حَاتَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ خَطَايَاهُ، كَمَا تَحَاتُّ وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ ".
Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Ibrāhīm al-Taymī, from al-Ḥārith ibn Suwayd, from ʿAbd Allāh (may Allah be pleased with him): “I came to the Prophet ﷺ during his illness, when he was suffering a severe fever. I said, ‘You are suffering a severe fever.’ I said, ‘That is because you have a double reward.’ He replied, ‘Yes. No Muslim is afflicted by harm but that Allah removes his sins from him, as the leaves of a tree fall.’”
