Sahih al-Bukhari 4802
Abu Nuʿaym narrated to us: al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from his father, from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), who said, “I was with the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) in the mosque at sunset. He said, ‘Abu Dharr, do you know where the sun sets?’ I said, ‘Allah and His Messenger know best.’ He said, ‘It goes until it prostrates beneath the Throne. That is the saying of the Exalted: “The sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.”’”
