حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ مَنْ حَلَفَ فَقَالَ فِي حَلِفِهِ وَاللاَّتِ وَالْعُزَّى‏.‏ فَلْيَقُلْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ‏.‏ وَمَنْ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهِ تَعَالَ أُقَامِرْكَ‏.‏ فَلْيَتَصَدَّقْ ‏"‏‏.‏

Translation

Abdullah ibn Muhammad informed us: Hisham ibn Yusuf informed us: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Whoever swears an oath and says in it, “By al-Lat and al-Uzza,” let him say, “There is no god but Allah.” And whoever says to his companion, “Come, let me gamble with you,” let him give charity.'
