حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ هَكَذَا بِالْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ " بُعِثْتُ وَالسَّاعَةَ كَهَاتَيْنِ ".
Translation
Ahmad ibn al-Miqdam related to us; al-Fudayl ibn Sulayman related to us; Abu Hazim related to us; Sahl ibn Sad (may Allah be pleased with him) related to us, saying: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) indicate with these two fingers—the middle finger and the one next to the thumb—and say, ‘I was sent and the Hour are like these two.’
