Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَبْرِدُوا بِالظُّهْرِ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " . تَابَعَهُ سُفْيَانُ وَيَحْيَى وَأَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ.
Translation
‘Umar bin Hafs narrated to us: My father narrated to us: al-A‘mash narrated to us: Abu Salih narrated to us, from Abu Sa‘id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, ‘Delay the noon prayer until it cools, for intense heat comes from the breath of Hell.’ Sufyan, Yahya, and Abu ‘Awana also transmitted it from al-A‘mash.
