Sahih al-Bukhari 5244
If a man is away for a long time, he should not enter his house at night.
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَاأَطَالَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْغَيْبَةَ فَلاَ يَطْرُقْ أَهْلَهُ لَيْلاً "
Translation
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When anyone of you is away from his house for a long time, he should not return to his family at night."
