Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ ذُكِرَ تَزْوِيجُ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةِ جَحْشٍ عِنْدَ أَنَسٍ فَقَالَ مَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْلَمَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مَا أَوْلَمَ عَلَيْهَا أَوْلَمَ بِشَاةٍ.

Musaddad narrated to us: Ḥammād ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Thābit, who said: Zaynab bint Jaḥsh’s marriage was mentioned in Anas’s presence, and he said: I did not see the Prophet hold a wedding feast for any of his wives like the feast he held for her; he held it with one sheep.
