ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us: al-Ḥajjāj ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, saying: Ibn Jurayj said: Mūsā ibn ʿUqbah informed me, from Nāfiʿ, who said: I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Accept this invitation when you are invited to it.’ ʿAbd Allāh used to attend invitations, for weddings and otherwise, even while fasting.
