Bulugh al-Maram 18
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ الْلَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الْلَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِذَا دُبِغَ الْإِهَابُ فَقَدْ طَهُرَ } أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . وَعِنْدَ الْأَرْبَعَةِ: { أَيُّمَا إِهَابٍ دُبِغَ } 2 .1 - صحيح. رواه مسلم (366).2 - رواه النسائي (773)، والترمذي (1728)، وابن ماجه (3609) عن ابن عباس أيضا، وهو صحيح كسابقه. "تنبيه": وهم الحافظ رحمه الله في قوله: "وعند الأربعة" وذلك لأن أبا داود لم يروا الحديث بهذا اللفظ، وإنما لفظه كلفظ مسلم.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “When a hide is tanned, it becomes pure.” Muslim reported it (366). The Four have the wording: “Any hide that is tanned …” 1 — Authentic. Muslim reported it (366). 2 — Al-Nasa'i (773), al-Tirmidhi (1728), and Ibn Majah (3609) also reported it from Ibn Abbas; it is authentic like the preceding report. Notice: Al-Hafiz (may Allah have mercy on him) was mistaken in saying, “The Four have it,” because Abu Dawud did not report the hadith with this wording; his wording is like Muslim’s.
