Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “There is a state of major ritual impurity beneath every hair, so wash the hair and cleanse the skin.” Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi transmitted it and judged it weak.
[Grading note:] Munkar (reprehensible). Reported by Abu Dawud (248) and al-Tirmidhi (106).

The Arabic source includes both the report and an editorial grading/reference note; both are translated. The English witness renders the grading as “weak,” while the Arabic annotation specifically says munkar.
