وَفِي آخِرِهِ: { ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِالْمِنْدِيلِ } فَرَدَّهُ, وَفِيهِ: { وَجَعَلَ يَنْفُضُ الْمَاءَ بِيَدِهِ } 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه البخاري، (249)، وانظر أطرافه، ومسلم (317).
Translation

At the end of this version: “Then I brought him a cloth, but he declined it”; and it says: “He began shaking the water off his hand.” 1 — Sound. Al-Bukhari (249; see its other references) and Muslim (317) reported it.

The subject of “declined it” and “shaking” is the Prophet, following the surrounding report; the narrator is Maymunah.
