Sunan Ibn Majah 3583

Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us; ʿAffān narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Wārith narrated to us; Ḥabīb al-Muʿallim narrated to us, from Abū al-Muhazzim, from Abū Hurayrah, from ʿĀʾishah, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said concerning women’s hems, “A handspan.” ʿĀʾishah said, “Then their lower legs would show.” He said, “Then a cubit.”
