حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏"‏ مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It wasnarrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar that ‘Umar bin Khattab saw asilken two piece suit (being offered for sale). He said

“OMessengerof Allah, why don’t you buy this two piece suit (to wearfor meeting)the delegations, and on Fridays?” The Messenger ofAllah (ﷺ) said:“This is only worn by one who has no share in theHereafter.”
