Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُنَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ - وَلاَ أَقُولُ نَهَاكُمْ - عَنْ لُبْسِ الْمُعَصْفَرِ .
Translation
It wasnarrated that ‘Abdullah bin Hunain said
“I heard ‘Ali say:‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade me – and I do not say thatheforbade you – from wearing clothes dyed with safflower.’”
