Sunan Ibn Majah 3607
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ شُهْرَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ أَلْهَبَ فِيهِ نَارًا " .
Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Abī al-Shawārib narrated to us; Abū ʿAwānah narrated to us, from ʿUthmān ibn al-Mughīrah, from al-Muhājir, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever wears a garment of notoriety in this world, Allah will clothe him in a garment of humiliation on the Day of Resurrection, then kindle a fire in it.”
