Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنِ التَّخَتُّمِ بِالذَّهَبِ .
Translation
It was narrated that Abu Bakr said: ‘Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from ‘Ubaydullah, from Nafi‘ ibn Jubayr, the freed client of ‘Ali, from ‘Ali, who said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing a gold ring.”’
