Muḥammad ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ narrated to us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rajāʾ al-Makkī informed us, from Ibn Khuthaym, from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “The best of your garments are the white ones, so wear them and shroud your dead in them.”
