حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ فِي الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالْقَرْعِ .

Ibn ʿUmar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade preparing nabīdh in the muzaffat or the gourd vessel.

Muzaffat is a vessel coated with pitch; qarʿ here refers to a gourd vessel. Nabīdh is a drink prepared by soaking fruit.
