Anas ibn Mālik reported: Milk diluted with water was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A Bedouin was seated to his right and Abū Bakr to his left. He drank, then handed it to the Bedouin and said, ‘The one on the right, then the one on the right.’
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The milk is described as having been mixed with water. The instruction ‘the one on the right, then the one on the right’ expresses the order in which the drink is passed along.
