حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ نُفِسَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ بِالشَّجَرَةِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهَا أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ وَتُهِلَّ .
Translation
ʿUthmān ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us: ʿAbdah ibn Sulaymān narrated to us, from ʿUbayd Allāh, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Qāsim, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: Asmāʾ bint ʿUmays gave birth at al-Shajarah, so the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, instructed Abū Bakr to tell her to bathe and enter the state of consecration.
