Sunan Ibn Majah 2942
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيْنَ تَنْزِلُ غَدًا وَذَلِكَ فِي حَجَّتِهِ قَالَ " وَهَلْ تَرَكَ لَنَا عَقِيلٌ مَنْزِلاً " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " نَحْنُ نَازِلُونَ غَدًا بِخَيْفِ بَنِي كِنَانَةَ - يَعْنِي الْمُحَصَّبَ - حَيْثُ قَاسَمَتْ قُرَيْشٌ عَلَى الْكُفْرِ " . وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ بَنِي كِنَانَةَ حَالَفَتْ قُرَيْشًا عَلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنْ لاَ يُنَاكِحُوهُمْ وَلاَ يُبَايِعُوهُمْ . قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَالْخَيْفُ الْوَادِي .
Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us: Maʿmar informed us, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn, from ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān, from Usāmah ibn Zayd, who said: I asked: “Messenger of God, where will you stay tomorrow?” That was during his pilgrimage. He said: “Has ʿAqīl left any dwelling for us?” Then he said: “Tomorrow we will stay at the ravine of Banū Kinānah”—meaning al-Muḥaṣṣab—“where Quraysh made their pact upon disbelief.” Banū Kinānah had allied with Quraysh against Banū Hāshim, agreeing not to marry them or trade with them. Maʿmar said: al-Zuhrī said that al-khayf means a valley.
