ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us: Wakīʿ narrated to us, from al-Rabīʿ ibn Ṣabīḥ, from Yazīd ibn Abān, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performed ḥajj on a worn riding saddle and a blanket worth four dirhams—or less—then said: “O God, a pilgrimage free of ostentation and seeking a reputation.”
