Sunan Ibn Majah 2982

Muḥammad ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ narrated to us: Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions set out, and we entered the consecrated state for Hajj. When we arrived in Makkah, he said, “Make your Hajj an ʿumrah.” The people said, “Messenger of God, we entered the consecrated state for Hajj, so how can we make it an ʿumrah?” He said, “Look at what I instruct you to do, and do it.” They repeated their objection to him, and he became angry. He went away until he entered upon ʿĀʾishah, angry. She saw anger on his face and said, “May God be angry with whoever made you angry.” He said, “Why should I not be angry when I give an instruction and am not obeyed?”
