Sunan Ibn Majah 2983

Bakr ibn Khalaf Abū Bishr narrated to us: Abū ʿĀṣim narrated to us: Ibn Jurayj informed us: Manṣūr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān told me, from his mother Ṣafiyyah, from Asmāʾ bint Abī Bakr, who said: We set out with the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) in the consecrated state. The Prophet said, “Whoever has a sacrificial animal should remain in the consecrated state, and whoever does not have one should leave it.” She said: I had no sacrificial animal, so I left the consecrated state; al-Zubayr had a sacrificial animal, so he did not leave it. I put on my clothes and came to al-Zubayr. He said, “Get away from me.” I said, “Are you afraid I might leap on you?”
