Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، وَجَابِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ خَنْبَشٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً " .
Translation
Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah and ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; they said: Wakīʿ narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from Bayān and Jābir, from al-Shaʿbī, from Wahb ibn Khanbash, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “An ʿumrah in Ramadan is equivalent to a Hajj.”
