Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً " .
Translation
ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us: Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, from Ḥajjāj, from ʿAṭāʾ, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “An ʿumrah in Ramadan is equivalent to a Hajj.”
