Shaving (the head) Sunan Ibn Majah 3044
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَوَارِيِّ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ " . قَالُوا وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ " . قَالُوا وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ " . قَالُوا وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ "
Translation
It wasnarrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)said
“May Allah have mercy on those who shave (their heads).” Theysaid: “And those who cut (their hair), O Messenger of Allah!” Hesaid:“May Allah have mercy on those who shave (their heads).”They said:“And those who cut (their hair), O Messenger of Allah!”He said: “MayAllah have mercy on those who shave (their heads).”They said: “Andthose who cut (their hair), O Messenger of Allah!”He said: “And thosewho cut (their hair).”
