Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ لَمْ يَرْمُلْ فِي السَّبْعِ الَّذِي أَفَاضَ فِيهِ . قَالَ عَطَاءٌ وَلاَ رَمَلَ فِيهِ .
Translation
Ḥarmalah ibn Yaḥyā narrated to us: Ibn Wahb narrated to us: Ibn Jurayj informed us, from ʿAṭāʾ, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not jog during the seven circuits in which he performed the circumambulation of departure. ʿAṭāʾ said: There is no jogging in it.
