Sunan Ibn Majah 3073

Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah and ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; they said: Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us: al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Ṣafiyyah, and we said, “She has begun menstruating.” He said, “Aqraʾ ḥalqāʾ”—an expression of exasperation—“I think she is going to hold us back.” We said, “Messenger of God, she performed the circumambulation on the Day of Sacrifice.” He said, “Then that settles it; tell her to depart.”
