Salamah ibn Shabīb narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us: Maʿmar informed us, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from ʿIkrimah, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rāfiʿ, the client of Umm Salamah, who said: I asked al-Ḥajjāj ibn ʿAmr about a pilgrim being prevented from continuing. He said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever suffers a fracture, becomes ill, or becomes lame has left the consecrated state, and Hajj is due from him the following year.” ʿIkrimah said: I reported this to Ibn ʿAbbās and Abū Hurayrah, and they said, “He spoke truthfully.” ʿAbd al-Razzāq said: I found it in a section from Hishām, the companion of al-Dastawāʾī, and brought it to Maʿmar, who read it to me, or I read it to him.
