حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَ يَدَّهِنُ رَأْسَهُ بِالزَّيْتِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ غَيْرَ الْمُقَتَّتِ .
Translation
ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us: Wakīʿ narrated to us: Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Farqad al-Sabakhī, from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿUmar, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to oil his head with oil while in the consecrated state, provided it was not perfumed.
