Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فِي الضَّبُعِ يُصِيبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ كَبْشًا وَجَعَلَهُ مِنَ الصَّيْدِ .
Translation
ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us: Wakīʿ narrated to us: Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim narrated to us, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUbayd ibn ʿUmayr, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī ʿAmmār, from Jābir, who said: For a hyena caught by a pilgrim in the consecrated state, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed a ram and classified it as game.
