Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah, Muḥammad ibn Bashshār, Muḥammad ibn al-Muthannā, and Muḥammad ibn al-Walīd narrated to us; they said: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us: I heard Qatādah report, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyab, from ʿĀʾishah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Five vicious creatures may be killed both outside the Sacred Precinct and within it: the snake, the speckled crow, the rat, the biting dog, and the kite.”
