Sunan Ibn Majah 3089
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنَّهُ قَالَ " يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ الْحَيَّةَ وَالْعَقْرَبَ وَالسَّبُعَ الْعَادِيَ وَالْكَلْبَ الْعَقُورَ وَالْفَأْرَةَ الْفُوَيْسِقَةَ " . فَقِيلَ لَهُ لِمَ قِيلَ لَهَا الْفُوَيْسِقَةُ قَالَ لأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ اسْتَيْقَظَ لَهَا وَقَدْ أَخَذَتِ الْفَتِيلَةَ لِتُحْرِقَ بِهَا الْبَيْتَ .
Abū Kurayb narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn Fuḍayl narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād, from Ibn Abī Nuʿm, from Abū Saʿīd, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: “A pilgrim in the consecrated state may kill a snake, a scorpion, an attacking predator, a biting dog, and the troublesome little rat.” He was asked, “Why is it called troublesome?” He said, “Because the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) awoke to find it had taken the wick to set the house on fire.”
