حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَعَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ ‏.‏

Translation

Muḥammad ibn Rumḥ informed us: al-Layth ibn Saʿd informed us, from Ibn Shihāb, from ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr and ʿAmrah bint ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, that ʿĀʾishah, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) used to send sacrificial animals from Madinah. I would twist the garlands for his sacrificial animals, and then he would not avoid any of the things a pilgrim in the consecrated state avoids.
