Garlanding the sacrificial animal Sunan Ibn Majah 3095
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ الْقَلاَئِدَ لِهَدْىِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـفَيُقَلِّدُ هَدْيَهُ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ .
Translation
It wasnarrated that ‘Aishah the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) said
“Iusedto twist the garlands for the sacrificial animal of the Prophet(ﷺ), and his sacrificial animal would be garlanded and sent (toMakkah), and he would stay (in Al-Madinah) without avoiding any ofthethings that the one in Ihram avoids.”
