Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مَرَّةً غَنَمًا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَقَلَّدَهَا .
Translation
Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah and ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; they said: Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: Once the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) sent sheep as an offering to the House and garlanded them.
