Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The conventional English expression ‘evil eye’ renders العَيْن in this context; حَقٌّ means true/real.
العين حق is a concise statement using the conventional concept of the evil eye; translated as ‘The evil eye is real.’
Should العَيْن here be rendered conventionally as ‘the evil eye’?
