ʿUthmān ibn Abī Shaybah and Hannād ibn al-Sarī both narrated to us: Abū al-Aḥwaṣ narrated to us, from Mughīrah, from Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad, from ʿĀʾishah: The Messenger of Allah permitted ruqya for snakebite and scorpion stings.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic explicitly names a snake and a scorpion as the causes for which ruqya was permitted.
