Abū Bakr narrated to us: Yaḥyā ibn Abī Bukayr narrated to us: Zuhayr ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Khuṣayfah, from ʿAmr ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Kaʿb, from Nāfiʿ ibn Jubayr, from ʿUthmān ibn Abī al-ʿĀṣ al-Thaqafī, who said: I came to the Prophet while I had a pain that was nearly incapacitating me. The Prophet said to me, ‘Place your right hand on it and say, “In the name of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah’s might and power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear,” seven times.’ I said that, and Allah healed me.
