Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَمَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَزُورٍ بِبَضْعَةٍ فَجُعِلَتْ فِي قِدْرٍ فَأَكَلُوا مِنَ اللَّحْمِ وَحَسَوْا مِنَ الْمَرَقِ .
Translation
Hishām ibn ʿAmmār narrated to us: Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad, from his father, from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that a piece be taken from each camel. They were put in a pot, and they ate the meat and drank the broth.
