Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ نُبَيْشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا " .
Translation
Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Aʿlā ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlā narrated to us, from Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ, from Abū al-Malīḥ, from Nubayshah, that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I had prohibited you from eating sacrificial meat for more than three days; so eat and store it.
